In the spring of 1889,
David C. Bothell and his wife, Mary Ann, filed the first plat
in what was to become the City of Bothell. Bothell is located
on the northeastern tip of Lake Washington and is conveniently
situated near several major highways.
It is the Technology Corridor,
a series of four modern business parks, that makes Bothell
more than a suburb. The Technology Corridor is home to major
employers such as AT & T Wireless, Eddie Bauer, Immunex, Seattle
Times, and Seattle P-I. These employers are a big draw for
an even larger, more affluent population to Bothell and an
expanding service and retail base.
The city's increasing demand
for retail, lodging and entertainment will be further enhanced
from the University of Washington Bothell/Cascadia Community
College enrollment projections.
